Pellet press type KL200 - 7.5 kW

The KL200 pellet press (type IPPG – PP200 – PP200Z – EWPM200 – KJ200) is a press suited to livestock farmers, agricultural producers and the processing of other soft raw materials. With a power of 7.5 kW, it meets a practical need: processing a variety of soft raw materials into usable pellets, depending on the application. Equipped with a 380 V motor and two 200 mm compression rollers, the machine processes between 50 and 120 kg per hour, depending on the raw material. It is not, however, suitable for processing wood chips intended for fuel; the MKL series, designed for this purpose, delivers much better results.

Production of animal feed and poultry feed: no problem. Livestock farmers will find in this pellet press the ideal tool for making their own pellets for feeding cattle and poultry (chickens, sheep, rabbits, pigs). Its production capacity allows them to meet the needs of small farms while fully controlling the composition of the mixes. Finely ground materials are pressed through a die under pressure, available in 6, 8 or 10 mm. The ideal moisture content for pressing is 13 to 15%. BreatHing supplies this machine ready to use, with a tooling kit and Flourbond binder for 2,000 kg of pellets. Delivery is free in Belgium, the Netherlands and France. Pellet press type MKL

The MKL series is the improved version, specially designed for wood pellets and more intensive use than the KL version. These presses run at half speed (1200-1400 rpm) thanks to a suitable gearbox. The die, an improved version of the one in the KL series, is fixed. Larger and more robust rollers rotate around a central axis to force the biomass through the die. These machines offer slightly higher production capacity, are more robust and quieter. BreatHing always keeps MKL225 (7.5 kW, 2 rollers) and MKL229 (11 kW, 3 rollers) presses in stock. In Belgium, the Netherlands and France, delivery is free, ready to use, with tooling, grease gun and Flourbond binder for 2000 kg of pellets! Contact us for a free, no-obligation quote!

Hammer mill

The hammer mill is the essential element for preparing the material before pelletising. It reduces wood, straw, alfalfa, miscanthus, etc. to a fine and homogeneous particle size, essential for obtaining quality pellets. BreathHing offers different types of hammer mills with interchangeable screens from 2.2 kW to 50 kW for intensive applications. Delivery is free in Belgium, the Netherlands and France. PTO - Power take-off

Power take-off (PTO) drive: The PTO is a power take-off. The machine has no motor of its own; it is directly connected to a tractor's drive shaft and driven by it. The raw material is fed into the hopper, then firmly compressed by rollers through a die to form cylindrical pellets. Ideal for farmers, forest owners or private individuals owning a tractor who wish to produce their own fuel or animal feed. BreathHing offers these two models (KL200P and KL260P) ready to use, with a tooling kit and Flourbond binder for 2,000 kg of pellets. Delivery is free in Belgium, the Netherlands and France. Frequently Asked Questions

How exactly does a pellet press work?
A pellet press forces finely ground biomass through a die under high pressure; the heat and pressure melt the lignin contained in the wood and bind the pellet together.
What is the ideal moisture content of biomass for pressing?
The ideal moisture content is between 10% and 15%.
Material that is too wet clogs the die, while material that is too dry produces brittle pellets.
When do you need a hammer mill?
If the material is not fine enough, it must not exceed the diameter of the die (6-8-10 mm).
How do you recognise good quality biomass for making pellets?
Good biomass, dry, clean, fine, odourless and homogeneous, produces better pellets.
Which pellet press is suitable for home use?
Pellet presses of 2 to 3 kW are available in 220 V for home use; the next model is 7.5 kW at 400 V.
How do you adjust the rollers of a pellet press?
The rollers should make light contact with the die.
Excessive pressure causes wear, while insufficient pressure gives poor quality pellets.
Do you need to lubricate a pellet press?
Every 2 to 4 hours with intensive use and with a heat-resistant grease.
Do you need a cyclone or an extraction system with a hammer mill?
Yes, for reasons of safety, efficiency, prevention of dust explosions and blockages, and the durability of the machine.
How do you know if a die needs to be replaced?
The pellets become shorter, softer or irregularly shaped.
A higher motor load is also a sign.
What does Breathing do?
For 25 years, Breathing has supplied innovative and durable pellet presses, hammer mills and accessories for small and medium-scale pellet production, from more than 100 different materials, throughout Europe, and particularly in Belgium, the Netherlands and France.
